Abnormal IgM antibodies may indicate recent Candida overgrowth.
Significant increase in the level of IgA antibodies is suggestive of mucosal barrier overgrowth of Candida infection (could be digestive, respiratory, nasal/sinus, mouth, ears, vaginal or skin).
Increased levels of IgG may suggest a chronic, ongoing infection.
Significant increase in IgG and/or IgM is suggestive of a recent or recurring overgrowth of Candida.
An increased level of IgG, IgM antibodies and/or Candida Immune Complex is believed to be indicative of systemic Candidiasis.
Your doctor can also order a test called a “comprehensive digestive stool analysis” which can test for bacteria, parasites and yeasts, including fungal Candida.
